Caesars Palace Atlantic City Review
Caesars Palace is one of my favorite destinations at Atlantic City. I have been a frequent visitor to the chain of Caesar Palace; I visited the one in Las Vegas at the tender age of 16. There we used to play pranks on the security personnel. However, years have passed since. I was not recognized probably and that might be the reason why I’m allowed inside Caesar Palace, Atlantic City.

However, I found a marked difference between Caesar Palace in Atlantic City and the one in Las Vegas. The one in Las Vegas had men dressed up in Roman attire called Togas, it was well decorated with tapestries and statues of David and Venus but these were missing in the one in Atlantic City.
The lobby of the hotel was nicely decorated with large ceiling representing the Roman style. The receptionist the first time was amicable in her behavior. However she was turned off when we made a request for an upgradation. The hotel staff nevertheless was quite efficient. This was our second visit to the hotel and on each occasion, we were provided with smoking rooms facing the ocean. The rooms were nicely decorated large in size with bathrooms having separate toilet facilities. The rooms were nicely decorated with roman décor of deep red and gold. The beds, though they did not have foam pillows were comfortable enough. Though the bed moved a little bit yet it held up quite well. The sink area in the bathroom had quite a bit of space where you can keep your necessary articles. However, I would advise everyone against using the shampoo/conditioner combo pack. I really had a very bad experience using it.
Every room was provided with a glass table where one can keep ones laptop. The problem was that the no desks were provided in the room except the glass table.
Now, talking about the internet connection, no wireless connections were available. Getting the connection was highly problematic. First, you had to find the cable connection, then navigate with the help of your remote control and find the Web-TV keyboard and finally plug it by dragging it over the table. The service is provided by a firm called Cox and the connection is not really bad provided it gets connected in the first time itself. However, in our case it did not function in the first time. Therefore, we had to call the Cox guys for help but no one arrived. Therefore, we called one of the Caesar service personnel for help. He came, saw the system and rebooted the system.
The rooms are maintained properly, kept clean all the time, the staff are extremely friendly to the extent that they have no problem in handing you extra mouthwash if you ask for it.
Talking about the casino, it is bigger as compared to any casinos in Atlantic City. You seem to recognize this fact when you wander about halls, which are connected by inside tunnels. The casino is huge with a large number of gaming tables, slots on all game floor that it will keep you busy all the time. It was more like a maze where we easily got lost when we visited the first time. The staff is always there to help you with proper directions in case you get lost.
Our favorite game at the game was Monopoly Slots, which was situated on the first floor. We were addicted to the game and used to play it every night. The first time we played the game we played a game worth $160 but eventually lost the entire amount. In a casino if you play for a longer period of time you stand to lose even what you have won. However, when we started winning we used to gather a lot of computer points and win free lunches all the time. This time we also won the free room the first night. We also won a number of free theater shows.
Other than the casino there are a host of other places where you can spend your time. Like there are a number of jewellery shops, clothing stores and gift shops. However, buying a cigarette is quite costly, a pack of Malboro may cost you as much as $10.
Now talking about restaurants here there are three upscale restaurants, which are open throughout the evening but not at the time when we feel hungry the most. Usually, buffet system was prevalent in these restaurants. The rates were cheap around $15 for lunch dinner; the rate for breakfast was $11. However, on weekends, rates were as high as $16. After gambling for around 8 hours on the trot, you tend to feel hungry.
I would like to make special mention of a club called Athens. The rooms are decorated with cool pastels, with plasma TVs on some walls and music playing all the time. I would recommend Caesar Palace Atlantic City.
