Red Square: A Restaurant in Atlantic City
Atlantic City, located in New Jersey, and is one of the world’s prime destinations to eat. Tourists enjoy dining experience in this beautiful destination and prefer to take the memorable experience along with them. Famed chefs and restaurants concepts are highly famous in cities like Atlantic City and Las Vegas. People generally have memorable experience of this place and they carry that along with themselves.
Red Square, a restaurant located in “the Quarter” of the Tropicana Resort and Casino, is one of the memorable places to enjoy the experience. It requires enough time to enjoy the entire experience of the dining not because of the speed of the service but just to feel the entire experience. Red Square provide Russian ambiance to their restaurant so that the guest, who come there, get embraced by the Russian elegance. Old Russian icons and symbols are put up like Lenin statue, red velvet seating etc to get a feel of their culture. These Russian icons are put up everywhere, which reminds of communism for 21st century.
Red Square provides a multifolded experience for the tourist under one roof. Enjoying any of the multi-course entrees is one of the easiest ways to have a feeling of the experience of Red Square. The tourist can get a sample of seven courses, which include the things that the person would have rarely experienced in his lifetime. Caviar, a seven-course meal, is one such experience, which costs two or three hundred dollars. However, a layman can just order this delicacy for tasting menu.
Hence, to enjoy the multifolded experience of this Russian theme based restaurant, we followed the same thing. We ordered the tasting menu and shared it. The tasting menu first included sample of “two caviars” and the whole experience was so unique, amazing and difficult to describe it. The second course included an exceptional soup called Lobster Bisque. It was quite thick and full as well as rich and good. As per the menu, I had a bowl, while others had a cappuccino cup, which was a small way to begin the dining experience. The third course included a salad, a czar chopped, whose lettuce was leafy. My father used to entice me saying that eating such salad would make hair grow off my chest. It required sharp knife to cut down the leaves. It was dressed like chardonary dressing from France. Then after a short break or intermission, we began with the next entree. In the break time, drinks were ordered by us and conversations were kept on to hardly miss the food. We sat there for more than 2 hours but we hardly felt like that, as there was hardly any plans set for the near future and even if it would have been there, it does not matter. I also got involved myself in conversation with Tom Iannaccio, one of the managers at the place, who was a very polite person. We got involved ourselves in everything from drinking, eating, talking at the table for nearly 2 hours. Hence I guess it is not for the humble like old communist Russia.
The next on the plate was Roquefort Crusted Filet Mignon, which we ordered as part of the meal. It included generous potatoes and the steak. It was not huge but quite filling and quite satisfied one and a big milestone for the meal. I happened to find beef stroganoff on the menu and ordered it right that time. I had a special place for this dish as it used to be cooked by my mother for us when we were child and i tried hard later on to find this dish but of no use. Filet mignon tips, shoestring potatoes and ragout mushrooms were of top quality. Beef Stroganoff also came with “strozzapreti pasta” which was fat, long and hand rolled. It was really great. One of the funny things about this was its peas, which were not thin, and they were mixed into it and hence were indistinguishable. They were resilient and demanded notice from the eater as they were really tough.
Before the entree got over, they put some dessert on the plate. I also had a cup of coffee to infuse energy in me and allow me to go further on the game. We had the dessert and were totally bummed. It was nothing to do with the quality of it, but with the space, which is hardly left in the stomach. We, next, ordered strawberries Romanoff which was fully loaded with cream and sabayon and was very delicious but hardly could we do justice to it and even the combined force could not put a dent in it. Therefore, those people, who are going for full meal at this restaurant, should better be prepared themselves for the aftermath.
We had a lifetime experience at this restaurant and we want to have this fun once again given the opportunity. We had experienced one of the unique experiences where we had entertainment, heartbreak. So if you happened to visit the Tropicana Hotel and Casino but not sure what to eat, then try the Red Square. It is magnificent from outside as well as from inside and you will have a lifetime experience to pass on to your coming generation.
